When You See a Problem, Fix It!

Madeline Haydon is so disarming in the best way possible.  When I first met Madeline while interviewing her for my new book, One Life to Lead, I was struck with how reflective she was about her business, her family and her life.  There is a subtle power that has made her a force in the food and beverage industry.

Madeline is the founder and CEO of nutpods, a non-dairy creamer that has catapulted the Company to being one of the fastest growing on the Inc. 5000 and propelled Madeline to being recognized as an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2019.  She is not here to play small ball, but to hit a home run, and that takes major courage.

There is a chapter in the book titled, Harness Energy from the Environment, and within that, we discuss ways to welcome new energy into your life as part of life design.  Welcoming new energy is a willingness to follow your intuition even if it goes against common beliefs.    It is about a willingness to be bold.   Madeline left her job at a non-profit to start Nutpods.  Why?  Because she believed in a world that had a more authentic brand for creamers than the processed ones that existed.  And you know what she did?  She went for it.

But this isn’t just a story about the chutzpah of being bold.  It is also about combating the deeply held beliefs that could have held her back and hold so many others back.  Madeline shares in the book:

It was hard.  I am a female.  I am a woman of color.  I grew up with Vietnamese parents, and the feeling was that it’s less about who you are and more about what you achieve.  The common question was whether I would go into business or medicine.  But as a product of Vietnamese refugees and someone who fought my way to navigate with English as a second language, I was always scrappy.  And that scrappiness drove me to take the leap and build nutpods.

In the book, you will also be able to learn about how Madeline thinks about her genius zone and how she has contemplated the life that she wants to create, business success notwithstanding.  Learn about Madeline and other life designers and how you can take control to design the life you want to lead.
